Martin Cranfield Associates Limited (MCAL) specialises in the regulation, inspection and enforcement of processes prescribed under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 on behalf of a number of Local Authorities regarding A2 & Part B, including Reduced Fee activities.

MCAL works nationally, operating on behalf of District, Borough, and City Authorities. We act as authorised officers for Local Authorities, assist in appeal and prosecution cases and have served both enforcement and suspension notices where necessary.

We operate regularly for a number of authorities across the country and have been specialising in the Regulations for over 5 years. The company acts as a specialist consultant to a number of additional authorities for more complex EPR installations and enforcement issues. We undertake over 300 inspections annually, from A2 installations to Reduced Fee Activities.

The company commits to meeting all aspect of the statutory obligations and DEFRA requirements in full, at all times.

We provide Inspection Reports and letters necessary to ensure compliance with the installation's Permit. We draft all Notices under the Environmental Permitting Regulations including Notices of Revocation, Notices for Further Information and Enforcement, we also process new applications, variations and transfers as standard.

MCAL staff have approximately 30 years experience in the Regulations between them. We also regularly attend regional Pollution Cluster Groups, Industrial Pollution Liaison Committee, Technical Working Groups for A2 Sector Guidance Notes, Technical Working Groups for Part B Process Guidance Notes.
